>inb4 needs to be quintuple vaxxed and masked to enter the venue
I looked into that! I love live music. Last year and earlier this year, I had to miss out on some shows that I would have loved to see, BUT they had a fucking vax requirement so I had to miss them. Sometimes the artist required a vaxxed audience, but other times, the venue had a blanket vax policy for every show (notably, The House of Blues here, those fucks; I'm boycotting them now; I'm skipping Stereolab's upcoming show there, which I normally would have jumped on). This shit was a thorn in my side for awhile.
Around spring/early summer here though, ALL of that went away. I don't know if it was the CDC's update of their recommendations or these places suffering low attendance (I hope that was the reason), but things changed.
I still look into this matter before I buy tickets just to be sure, but I never see a vax requirement anywhere at all anymore.
I'll push this once again because I've been obsessed with it for about a year now.
A peculiar band for sure. I don't like most of their songs as they are too soft. But this time around they let the bassist Bruce Hall write and sing a song.
This is the definitive performance. He's fired up, screaming his head off. That's already great but it's not even what makes this a total standout.
It's riduculous-looking and arrogant-appearing Gary Richrath that steals the show! The best guitar sound ever in recorded history! Super fat in the lows, squealing in the highs, screaming in the dissonant bends and played with a swagger and ease that makes me hate and adore the dude at the same time.
Just listen to the irregular riffing. You don't even realize it. Perhaps the greatest performance of Hard Rock ever.
