Right now, leftist media are being somewhat critical of Biden's handling of Afghanistan, but I have no doubt that they can and will shamelessly turn on a dime eventually and scrub as much blame off of him as possible.

When I watched clips of Trump's last rally in Alabama, I thought that a narrative that Afghanistan is all really Trump's fault might gain traction, but I don't know. Sounds flimsy to me, but maybe I lack imagination.

They could also selectively report what happens if American civilians end up captured and killed. Or maybe even discredit the victims by saying that they COULD have left the country if they really wanted, but didn't.

News media is so slimy that there's no limit to how low they can go.

I'm not sure the media will play ball this time. They're part of the elites because the public trusts them enough to accept the media's lies, but they have to maintain some level of credibility to stay in the club. They're out for revenge because they feel abused by Biden expecting them to defend something so indefensible.
