Actually I think Newhalf might be thinking of Dobson's roommate. According to the TV Tropes Dobson used to room with a guy named Ke Jiang who's subsequently gone to work for Disney as an animator and in the art department, having worked on Wreck-it-Ralph and Frozen as a CG modeller and digital sculptor. Much to Dobson's surprise.

Dobson himself couldn't get hired as a janitor at Disney. His work ethic is poor and his work itself exhibits way too many technical mistakes and inconsistencies for him to ever work at Disney or any other professional animation studio.

Andrew Chesworth was also an MCAD grad around the same time as Dobson, ended up at Disney and moved on to cofounding his own studio. Dobson has blamed his school for why he never became a Disney animator but when you see the other people who graduated around the same time who went on to bigger things it's obvious that Dobson was just a hack who expected Disney to hire him because he had an art degree.

What these eternal collegefags are never told and fail to understand is that degrees are often not impressive. They might get you hired but certainly won't keep you employed.

You applied at Disney with an art school degree? Take a number.
Showing good work and being pleasant will get you further in most fields that aren't STEM.
