The Sonic movie was kind of based though. The big sideplot for the gay cowboybot from Westworld was that he wanted to leave his podunk town to go to San Francisco of all places. I won't bother to watch it, but I'm slightly curious as to whether or not the Kraut dub will double-down on the previous movie's gimmick.

(They've hired some German YT IN to voice Sanic in order to be hip or something, and it was really obvious from the trailer alone that the guy can't actually act. Fucking Doge would've done a better job, since at least that guy knows how to be cartoonishly energetic.)

The first movie was really just conservative propaganda for the American heartland, whereas Mario is a progressive supporter of the American brainland, as seen in him visiting a bustling metropolis in Super Mario Odyssey.
