We all do. Previous generations got to miss specific decades, we miss old internet. Newfags are just plain fucked and born too late for pretty much everything.

You weren't even alive for that, Youngblood.
I do appreciate the old gabber, though.

Yeah I know. Most of the good Flash stuff on sites like AlbinoBlackSheep or Newgrounds was regurgitated onto YouTube so us younglings can pick up the scraps.

It's cool, I get it. I grew up with a lot of 80s shows via syndication. It was old by the time I saw it but it was on current TV and certainly new to me and still part of the pop culture.
Star Trek TNG started in 87, just a year after I was born, but to me DS9 and TNG running in parallel was normal and current, along with Voyager. Pre-teen me didn't think about the logistics of three ST shows running at the same time.
Saturday morning just was TNG, DS9 and then Voyager, which was time to go call a friend and go outside to play because Voyager wasn't as good even to a very young Kugelfisch.

The only thing better about the internet today is porn is way easier to get, since you don't have to struggle with dial-up or deal with skeevy websites. Back when I was a kid (and you, I assume,) there weren't reputable porn websites and what you'd find on any given site was a complete toss-up. Could even be illegal shit you didn't want. It was harder to protect your computer from viruses and malware and alternative web browsers weren't so common. Streaming didn't exist and videos were in 480p at best. They'd take forever to download too.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 1:05 amWe all do. Previous generations got to miss specific decades, we miss old internet. Obviously that doesn't matter if you're a super gigachad nofap who never looks at adult materials and gets laid 24/7, as I'm sure every guestfag will attest to. But it is slightly easier now to find hentai, porn, playboy, thicc booty asian sluts etc etc whatever you're into.

Porn did not benefit from HD.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 8:41 amStreaming didn't exist and videos were in 480p at best. They'd take forever to download too.
Audio and video codec improvments and the lowering prices of storage are about the only real objective improvments to the internet experience. The rest of the internet's infastructure is fucked up because of Javascript and every browser is pozed as fuck in every sense of the world - not just because of globohomo ZOG influence and the removal of any sense of privacy but because of sheer lack of talent and craftsmanship that goes into updating browsers these days (I say these days but I swear Firefox has been shit for at least a decade.) I need 256GB in RAM if I wanna open more than five tabs in FF.
