Darkwood is quite good. I rarely play video games from start to finish but it was so good I finished this one. I didn't know the randomness of roguelite design works quite well with horror/thriller/creepy genre.

I started CDDA because the final bug check/tesing of new version is taking too much time even though it seems pretty stable already. My new character's concept is basically Old-age Mutant Ninja Muay-thai Weido-san who eats mutated-whatever and such, mutates into a deformed abomination and kills zombies with bare hands. Also I started with laboratory escape scenario (iirc second hardest scenario) because why not.

I guess playing with early mutation was a big mistake. I always ended up with some bad mutations like tentacles, I'll try more boring normie build later. Also, game has changed a lot now there are pretty tough opponents even early on. Game feels far more polished comared to a year ago. Now you can do neat things like throwing objects from cover or peek through stairs.

And yeah, the beginning can be brutal. Lotsa fresh zombies all over the place, and worse if you're unlucky.

I got an R4i Gold 3DS Plus since I've been in the mood to play some DS games. I've been playing Contra 4 a lot and having a blast with it. Are any of the other games (ignoring Contra Force and the two PS games) besides the first three also worth playing? Also, what are some DS games worth playing?

The DS has a pretty strong library. I'd highly advise getting custom firmware to sail the seven seas. Tetris DS is pretty neat, the Phoenix Wright titles are also pretty good. Mega Man ZX is a fine shooter. Basically any DS Castlevania is at least competent, Dawn of Sorrow is especially good.
