So, I've got a bad cold that started Tuesday. It wasn't that bad then, but my left trapezius muscle was heavily cramped up to the point that I couldn't turn my head and barely use my left arm.
So I got myself a two day sick leave and something against muscle inflammations and hoped the cold would subside in those two days. It did not. I was at work yesterday and just pushed through but made it clear I'd stay at home today.

So now I had to go to the doctor again.
You don't have to wear a mask anymore. Cool. However, where you could get a blanket three days off for any respiratory disease and didn't even have to see a doctor, you now have to see a doc again and wait outside with respiratory issues. I've waited over an hour in the fucking cold to get one fucking day off. Wonderful!

They only recently lifted the mask shit here. I know someone with respiratory problems who was forced to wear surgical masks for their doctor visits. No matter how much they complained of shortness of breath, and no matter how red their face was, they couldn't get an exemption.

So it doesn't surprise me at all that medical fucks would have someone with a bad cold waiting for an hour in the cold/damp.

You would think that people who become doctors do so out of a desire to help others. My experience has not substantiated that belief, however. Many doctors are quite unfeeling, cold and/or arrogant. They don't really give a damn what happens to you, which is why you have to constantly keep on top of your treatment (don't expect the medical staff to get anything right when it comes to scheduling, tests or medication) and hassle them.

Dude, I was seething 45 minutes in. I was about to leave and just take the day off from banked overtime hours.
I would've gone to work if we didn't have this shitty in-between weather right now. Doing nothing it's cold, especially the wind. But if you work a jacket is too warm and no jacket is too cold. If you start sweating it gets worse. Bad fucking combination for having a cold with a sore throat.
