So we've got a guy doing some menial work for a few hours a week to earn some money one the side while he's doing school. 19yr old. He told me yesterday that he got himself a Switch but he doesn't have Mario yet. So today I asked him if he at least had the Zelda for it. Nope, but he got Skyrim. I was asking him if he was kidding me. He wasn't. Paid 45€ for Skyrim in [cy]+3. An unmoddable version of Skyrim no less.
I don't even know what to say to that.

That's the excuse all these switch owners make for buying half ass ports is MUH PORTABILITY when they can only play it for 15 minutes on there lunch break.

Honestly the switch is best for people who travel in there job a lot ironically and not for little kids who never leave the house.

Pretty much. I can't really pay him less in the kind of job he does for the hours he does. Funnily enough, I could pay him more and thus cause him to earn less because he'd have to start paying taxes. But I don't feel like giving the state more money than I have to.

I'm not too sure he does. I have authority over him in more than just one way. Being his boss and being his elder with more vidya cred, been there, done that. He's a normalfag with a pleb taste. Sure, he thought Destiny 2 a shit completely by his own but had I reacted differently to him paying 45 smackaroos for Skyrim he'd have felt fantastic over that choice.
Because, you know, that's not even full retail price and Skyrim VR goes for the full buttrape 60 €uroshekels after all.
