That's one of the reason why I don't give a shit about New Year's. Nothing actually changes, outside of maybe a bunch of new laws and regulations that take effect.

I wish I knew what that was like. I live next to rednecks who pop off fireworks every year for each holiday (including ones like thanksgiving that don't make sense.) They were at it again today, and at one point I heard what sounded like a gunshot.

Idiots who act like a number change suddenly resets everything are the some tards who say shit like "I wish 2020 would just end already!" whenever some over-the-hill celebrity they hadn't thought about for ten years suddenly dies, as if an arbitrary number humans assigned to a calendar has sentience and is actively hunting them.

We even had a ban on fireworks this year over here. But Im proud of my countrymen that it was mostly ignored, if only they did the same for the mask nonsense.
