Same as here. If you don't already have years of recent experience in a field, you won't get hired even for so-called """" entry level """""" jobs.

And if you do have experience it better be uninterrupted. An interviewer will ask you to explain a 2 month gap on your resume in the same manner as a homicide detective asking you to explain bloody clothes found in your car.

The question is do they happen in those countries as frequently as they do in the states?

As per usual, no one has an answer for this. America also had the highest frequency of serial killers before they went out of vogue in the early 90's - is there a correlation? Long ago I've read something about the Manifest Destiny mentality being engrained into Yanks since birth, and that these crimes are just the logical result of there being no more frontier lands to be colonized and pillaged anywhere.
