Re: Russia
People are generally not in favour of war if it's aggressive or not retaliatory.
I'd run from the draft as well. Russian citizens stand nothing to gain from annexing Ukraine partially or even entirely.

It also doesn't help that the draft criteria is suspiciously favoring minorities and people from rural areas (along with a couple other arbitrary decisions), almost like they're considered more expendable than city folks.Le Redditeur wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 6:17 amI don't blame them. Dying in war was never glorious, and it became particularly stupid after modern weapons made men into cannon fodder. It's specially dumb if the war isn't even a defensive one.
They're doing the usual handwaving by calling these isolated instances of a select few bureaucrats, but how long will people buy that in a country where one man has been calling the shots for decades?

Yeah, there was the glow-up sabotage on the pipelines and now multiple sources are predicting martial law. Shit's gonna get fucking bad. I wasn't alive for the Cold War, but doesn't this feel similar?

And that were just gas pipelines no one's actually using atm. Now imaging those internet cables between the US and Europe which Russian spy subs have been known to visit for years now.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 5:34 amYeah, there was the glow-up sabotage on the pipelines and now multiple sources are predicting martial law.
