Not really. I remember the fall of the Berlin Wall and not understanding what was going on at all and why Sesame Street was delayed for some wall.McGinnis wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:58 amYeah, but would he remember the Cold War though?Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 10:54 amWhat? Re: Russia
I wasn't sentient at the time the Cold War ended. I'm just curious, because nuclear uncertainty is definitely sweeping back into the narrative. It's all the news cycle can talk about, and I don't mean just MSNBC.

The main difference between now and then is that most countries these days are run by retards.

Re: Russia
No, the difference is that is the US that's ruled by a decrepit, senile old puppet, not the USSR.

Even Brezhnev was more competent than Joe Biden, and at least Andropov and Chernenko had the decency to die before they caused too much harmLe Redditeur wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 4:21 pmNo, the difference is that is the US that's ruled by a decrepit, senile old puppet, not the USSR.

A miss on the B note.
Good for historic war crimes, strategically unsound though.
Cool, you can obliterate a city and get declared global enemy number one. Then what?
Could've just rocketed all military installations instead and did more harm. It's just news wankery.
Bullshit as ever. Nukes are simply not as effective and very impractical.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 12:25 pmI'm just curious, because nuclear uncertainty is definitely sweeping back into the narrative.

It might be, but the truth is, nobody wants to be the first one to blink in the game of nuclear chicken. No sane person even wants to be the one to call the bluff in the first place, because at the end of the day, you're gambling civilization on it.
