Well, not anymore. It's been rebranded to Quadball because Rowling is a vile TERF.
Okay, it was probably because Warner Bros. was threatening to sue them over naming their sport after one of their trademarks, seeing how the she-devil named Rowling has showed her true colors years ago, but it never hurts to signal some virtue I guess.

So why do I even bring this up in this thread? Because The Sport Formerly Known As Quidditch prides itself with being one of the most diverse and progressive sports around.

I'd bet good money that the winning move for a Quidditch Quadball championship is to have 6 dudes on the field, of which at least 2 swear that they totally identify as something else

Though this gender rule raises a few questions:

• Are agender players not counted as anything, or does agender count as a gender?
• Do they have to count genderfluid players as everything, lest the player changes his gender mid-game and causes the team to break the gender rule?

And with the name change, they'll continue to play Quidditch while pretending they're not playing Quidditch. Seems deeply symbolic of the queer condition, don't ya think?
