I REALLY don't get this "put a bucket of candy on your porch and then fuck off inside" stuff. People really do that? You're supposed to be there to hand out the candy and be festive and say hi to your neighbors and banter with the kids about their costumes. That's what we did this Halloween and it was fun.

So I don't like anybody in the videos above.

Doing that is just asking for someone to just take as much they want.

And call me an Ally of Color (tm), but no matter how many "Black people take as much as they want from a 'Plz only take 1, okay?' bucket" videos people upload I don't see how this is a particular Wakandian issue. You tellin' me white trash is too honorable to pull this off? Some people see hand-written "Please don't do [thing] even though I have no way of stopping you" signs and see it as a challenge.
Back in my days, my juveline gang of delinquents would've taken both buckets and make a run for it.

All in all it looks like a very constructed case of "Black Man Bad", even though they prove it time and time again in fast food joints.

Caveat: Maybe this is just me speaking from my Kraut experience. We have plenty of pure-blooded Aryans who would literally fill their coffers with fruits from some tree that clearly belongs to someone else.

I was a douchebag when i was 11. If someone put a big bowl of unguarded candy on their porch on Halloween in 1987, I might have taken it all.

Bottom line: If someone doesn't want to celebrate Halloween and give out candy, that's fine. I can't argue with that. Do what you want. But if somebody half-asses it with an unattended bowl of candy on their porch, I do not sympathize with them being offended when someone takes it all. Neither party is in a festive spirit. Fuck 'em both.

These people either don't want to or can't participate for whatever reason, so the candy bowl is their solution. They're trying, or at least in a "please don't egg my house" kind of way. It's no excuse for what these illegal Mexicans did here.

I don't think people are bothered by the kids taking extra candy it is the parent's encouragement and the overall ravenous behavior that people don't like.

That said, I don't know how much of this is legitimate versus manufactured rage-bait for Tiktok and Twitter.
