Re: Germany aka Krautland
And that silly EU copyright law that can't work in practice has now become offical Kraut law. Guess my days as a professional fanfic writer are over.

What did you expect? Isn't it always a short jump from EU law to German law?VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 9:55 amAnd that silly EU copyright law that can't work in practice has now become offical Kraut law

I didn't exactly know when it would happen. Just that it would happen.

Re: Germany aka Krautland
I always thought Germany made the EU laws. The EU is more or less a German institution.

You can easily be forgiven thinking that. In reality, it's a group effort by the most useless fuckheads of all the nations combined.
Anyway, now instead of being pointless on the EU level it can be pointless on the national one.

Re: Germany aka Krautland
We already hade some of these "new" copyright laws in place. Like that one that requires search engines to buy a loicense if they wanna keep quoting form news articles as part of their search result.
I think the end result was that the news sites were handing out those loicenses for free, because the other alternative would be getting unpersoned from Google.
And our news programs love making little news reels regarding copyright. They usually have some middle-aged nobody sitting in front of his PC, being sad that someone on Youtube has uploaded his songs that nobody knows

I just learned it is illegal to wash your car in Germany, even at your own property! And I thought we were autistic with our rules and bureaucracy.

It is illegal to wash off cleaning products just unto the ground without proper drainage.
