There's a reason why most countries that had kings either got rid of them or made them powerless, and why America has never believed in kings at all.
You've got exactly the same problem as with today's elected politicians, namely that they're ivory tower elitist pieces of shit who only care about their own personal gain and who are about as far from the common people and what they think and feel as you could possibly be. But, with monarchs you've got the added problem that they're not elected, so they're not accountable to you. The position is hereditary so whether or not the monarch is actually qualified to run a country is irrelevant, all that matters is who daddy is. Monarchs also serve for life, which means you'll be waiting an awfully long time for a shitty monarch to die, assuming you don't die first.
