There are many who argue Paul was never really a Christfag but actually a completely separate cult leader who latched onto the Christ shit to push his own cult of personality.

Even the most conservative Christian churches agree that most of his letters are fake. As in, not conceivably written by Paul. None of them are believed to actually be letters.

If you're not afraid to lose your job with the church and care more about reality, not a single one was written by Paul, as that dude never existed.

All were written by Marcion and his scholarship. That's who even the Roman Catholic church acknowledged as the source of the "fake" letters.

If one looks at the source texts, one finds that Paul's doctrine is not compatible with the Roman Catholic Church at all.
However, it is fully compatible with Marcionism. It's was a wider-spread belief than the Catholic Church at the time but didn't hold as much power.
Marcion tried to bribe the Church, which initially worked but was later rejected when the Roman Catholic Church gained in power and didn't need to appease the followers of Marcionist doctrine.

The Roman Catholic Church eventually just absorbed them, re-wrote some passages of Paul's letters to fit better with their own doctrine and leveraged their power to stomp any noticers, which they still do to this day.

For his trouble, Marcion was declared a heretic and slandered in the Bible's canonical texts as Simon Magus, a combination of him and a few other heretics.


The Wikipedia article on him is actually somewhat passable, for a religious entry. Still, a lot of ultra conservative Catholic slant.

The makeup gimmick is weird considering how tame their music is. Most of it is about going to parties and having sex with women, basically normies.txt. Their shit is tame even within the sphere of classic rock (although one could argue how "classic" KISS is.) You've got Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin over there singing about war, death and Armageddon. AC/DC singing about the highway to hell, dirty deeds, pull the trigger, tnt gonna fuck you up etc... Meanwhile, KISS are done up in demon colors sperging out over a sixteen year-old girl and how they want to rock all night and party every day.

Just always found that a bit odd.

KISS are like Billy Squier. The music itself can be enjoyable but the lyrics are usually complete trash.

It's almost always the most lame shit that has the most success. Goes for any subgenre.
In Thrash Metal it's Metallica, in Punk it's Greenday and so on. If you're about to say that Greenday isn't Punk, that's exactly my point.

I don't know anything about Alice Pooper.
I do know that they ripped off New York Dolls. I know this because on Opie and Anthony Rich Vos said they did and then Jim Norton said no they didn't.
