Judge Juan Merchan has sentenced Donald Trump to unconditional discharge.

“The only lawful sentence that permits entry of a judgment or conviction without encroaching upon the highest office of the land is an unconditional discharge,” Merchan told Trump.

The sentencing, which was expected, means Trump will remain a felon but faces no jail time, penalties or probation for his conviction in the hush money case.

I don't get how an "unconditional discharge" would allow anyone to be called a felon. If it's discharged unconditionally, you're not convicted at all, meaning you're not found guilty and thus not a felon, right?

SCOTUS is hearing the case about the Tiktok ban, and its sounding like the ban will be upheld.

Here's my thing, Nigtok is the big game in town right now. Yeah, they're owned by GHINA, and invading your privacy, but if you think Musk, Bezos, and Zuck the Cuck aren't selling your information to anyone they can, I've a bridge to sell you. Which is the problem, this case is not about our right to privacy or even about GHINA (Nigtok is the only Chinese owned company being targeted by this, and coincidentally the one whose downfall benefits the most oligarchs), its about billionaires pushing the government to help them recoup the market share they've lost due to decaying relevance, only difference is the government is humoring them.

Yeah, Trump started it, (Demento is about to see it through) but when that shit turned out to be a political loser during the campaign, Trump changed his stance. Too little, too late, as the odds are in favor of the Supreme Court saying the ban can go through.
