Saw all of season 4. It is shit, but the final episode is okay, despite a scene of fucking victim blaming. If you've seen the episode, you'll know what scene I'm talking about.

The Iranian Guard is claiming responsibility for the attempted Trump assassination. Not even the Persians believe that mile-long lie.
So The Boys is just another Watchman. You saved me lots of time.Complicity wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 6:47 pmI quickly went through the comic out of curiosity, and it was shite like The Crossed - even though i agree with its message, which is superheroes are fake, corrupt and disgusting like Pedowood actors #BigDickPunisher.
I can't even imagine how the partisan adaptation for modern audiences produced by Bitch Rogen turned out to be, and i don't want to know.

Proof the assassination is real: Trump can't pick friends and allies to save his life. Anybody Trump would've hired for a false flag would have hit him.

Re: God Emperor Megathread (Trump and his presidency)
Watchman is a masterpiece in comparison.
The Gays has nothing to say, no memorable/likeable characters like everyone's favorite Rorschach, no atmosphere, nothing.
It just shovels mindless sex and violence in your face, like shit on a marble wall.
The entire plot can be summarized barely into a paragraph:
Super people are artificially created by corporations to make money.
They are all Epstein/Hunter Biden types, or become Epstein/Hunter Biden types.
They are incompetent and untrained, the fights with supervillains are for show, they accidentally kill people whose deaths are then covered up.
Main character hates supers because his girlfriend was raped allegedly by Homelander, the Superman parody, and then died when the rapist's son exited her gunt like a chestburster.
It turns out that the one who did it was Black Noir, the Batman parody, who was secretly an insane clone of Homelander - his face is never shown until the final chapters.
Black Noir, while pretending to be Homelander, filmed himself committing acts of necrophilia, cannibalism, rape and murder, and then sent the videos to Homelander, who originally was a decent guy, driving him insane to the point that he leads an insurrection and kills the president.
All the supers involved are killed by the army (because guns and bombs are better than their gay powers), and the protag has his revenge.
But it's not enough, and he wants to genocide all supers, killing his friends/colleagues in order to do so.
The Simon Pegg looking guy survives and kills him.
The end.

When? I know the US IC has tried to say that there was a plot by Iran on the same day of the shooting and that they beefed up security. I have never heard that Iran took credit. Seems like bullshit pushed by the warmongers.

I wouldn't claim responsibility for this shitshow even if it were true.
It's so much worse I am disgusted you even compare the two.

Trump's speech last night was good. I particularly liked his confidence on foreign policy and stopping war.
My boss at work is a left-leaning gay man who admitted this morning that he found Trump more sane than he expected (while still disagreeing with him often). He credited Trump's near-assassination with settling him down.

More likely the near-assassination boosted your boss' estimation of the guy enough to listen to Trump with an open mind. Trump is still Trump. If he was spewing fewer invectives, that's understandable. He was speaking to the RNC and just had a bunch of court cases dismissed. Or the way paved to blanket immunity. So he should be calmer. It wouldn't make sense for Trump to be screaming at the RNC anyway.
Trump's always been good on foreign policy btw. Probably the only president I can say that for. Don't know how much he's done when he was in office to actually stop wars, but he paid lip service to the idea at least. He didn't start any new wars while he was in office neither, and both sides tried to goad him into one.
