Reminds me of that godawful Yidsney Plus Chip 'n Dale movie, even including a bastardized legacy character as an aged, bitter antagonist (i.e. Tweedy is this film's version of Peter Pan).

It worked in Roger Rabbit because the writing was a lot better and it was the entire premise of the setting.
You can't just take any random cartoon and go "Lol they're actors". That just makes me suspect you didn't actually do much research on the OG cartoon.
