A term those people just can't grasp. They have no friends, never had any and the entire concept is foreign to them. There are just evil Nazis and allies to be backstabbed at the slightest perceived misstep.

My favorite book is Stendhal's The Green and the Purple.

Uh no, it's more like The Bible in that, you know, you have to read it every day. You need a daily dose, if you will

The Stars my Destination

A true classic from the 50s and it shows in all the good ways.
As a short review, I'd call it The Count of Monte Christo in space. The beginning is a lot alike, almost beat for beat for a while.

But it does differ as well. For one, our protagonist is a dumb shitbag at first. As in extremely dumb.
Another is that it veers off. I would not call it as close to a must read as The Count but it's close

He's a rapist as well. Just a violent brute with nothing but revenge on his mind, who only starts to get smarter a good bit later on.

Another interesting thing is that people can teleport by force of will alone. There are limits to how far and where to but it has made almost all transportation obsolete.
It's a vital aspect of the world and story.
