I still don't know how we did this. Though Arnold is like a Soviet general fighting against Finland in WW2, he picked people he liked in that France game but was forced to cut that shit out and play a better team. Degenek may be in the US now but he has played Champions League football with Red Star Belgrade, we have been much better defensively especially against Tunisia who couldn't string 3 passes together and panicked all game.

That explains it. Atkinson was complete garbage against France. The French kept going up the left sideline where he was at and crossing scoring 4 goals that way. Benching him seemed to minimize that.
