He's considered even more of a one hit wonder than Vanilla Ice.
Not quite accurate, Coolio actually does have more than one song

But not more than one hit. Vanilla Ice does. Coolio is a lesser MC Hammer.

No, he had three or four songs that charted and at least one other single that went platinum.

If by 'one-hit wonder' you mean 'only one number one', then I suppose that's accurate. But it's not generally what's meant by 'one-hit wonder'. A lot of popular acts never had a number one hit single.

News to me. Gangsta's Paradise is the only song of his I've ever heard.

It's true, but would most people even remember those songs now? I certainly don't. I only remember that one. I had no idea he ripped it off from Stevie Wonder at the time.

Chart position doesn't have much standing on whether an artist is a one-hit-wonder or not. Vanilla Ice had a few hits in his time, but most people only know him for "Ice Ice Baby" or, if you're a certain type of dork, the Ninja Rap from that Ninja Turtles movie.

On the reverse side of that argument: Jimi Hendrix is a guitar legend with a lot of well-known and memorable songs, but his only real charting hit was his cover of "All Along The Watchtower".

Not really. The only other single of his that charted was a cover of 'Play that Funky Music' and the reason for that was that Ice Ice Baby was the b-side to that single. So people bought the 'Play that Funky Music' single because they wanted to hear Ice Ice Baby. Eventually he signed with a new label and they released Ice Ice Baby as its own A-side with some other B-side that nobody cares about (as is typically standard with B-sides)

So yeah, technically Vanilla Ice isn't a one hit wonder either. But, in reality, yeah he is.

Well that goes to my point.

The Who, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, they've all never had a number one hit single.

Well, there's two reasons for that
1) You're German
2) Gangsta's Paradise was his only crossover hit.

Guns n' Roses had Sweet Child o' Mine on number 1 for two weeks.

Really? Oh, okay then. Still, that's only one number one amongst many singles and they're a hugely successful band

Yeah, one would assume they had multiple #1 hits.
