I love a lot of German rock bands. If you're into 70s prog-rock, you always start off with the English groups and then if you have adventurous tastes, you eventually move on to the Germans, who were freakier and for some reason they loved long, hypnotic drones Every cool 70s German album has about four songs on it and the shortest one is, like, eight minutes long. Then there was Kraftwerk who invented 80s synth-pop in the 70s, but with that weird German drone thing in there sometimes.

A classic compact rocker with a psychedelic feel:


The cool, droning shit. Ten minutes long. Bands used to START their albums this way. Sounds great on vinyl and with some good pot.


And an obscurity that I just happen to like. The band is called Birth Control and they made great 70s hard rock with a weird keyboard here and there.
