Clever fan service is always an option for these movies. A new Tim Burton Batman movie with Michael Keaton would be huge fan service. If "The Flash" goes over well, demand will skyrocket.

They obviously want to do it. They put Keaton Batman in the Flash movie and Warner Brothers already brought the entire squad back for Beetlejuice 2 as the warm up act.

They bloat because they can't plan worth a damn, forcing too many reshoots, which also happen to waste a lot of work done by their SFX teams (which they are working to the bone as well).
They think they just have to throw enough money at a movie to make it a hit, but in the end they have a movie that is way cheaper-looking than it should.

Funny you say that. Marvel literally signs their actors for reshoots even before filming. As if to say we don't plan everything. Writers in the set when filming to punch up the script. That's usually a sign for a bad movie.

It would have happened for Blade as well since they just hired someone to rewrite the script a week or so ago for a movie that was going to start filming in the the end of May. But the production only got delayed due to the writers strike. No planning whatsoever
