I assume it's better than the baka gaijin comics by default.

We never really got GI Joe over here. Instead they did some official "homage" of sorts in the form of Action Man, though afaik that quickly stopped having any resemblance to GI Joe.

Yeah, I have those. They were written for a young audience, so keep that in mind when reading. Simple stories and neat artwork. It's very sincere and endearing.

This new Skybound stuff doesn't sound like my kind of thing. I don't like the whole "make an old kids' franchise edgy" routine. I also don't like intertwined comic universes that force you to buy a million comics to follow a story.

The ones I'm most certain about though are those larger, basically Barbie-sized Action Man figures, mostly because there were a lot of commercials for them back in my day.

Ah, OK. They tried to make Action Man a thing here in the mid 90s and there was a shitty CGI cartoon. I think they wanted to make a united international brand because nobody outside the USA cares about GI Joe. But it turns out nobody in the USA cares about Action Man.

Even if Snipes come back anyone expecting anything close to the first Blade film in terms of quality or violence is naive as fuck. It will be generic Marvel shite at least Snipes will get an extra payday from the mouse.
