Negima has exactly one good moment, which is right at the end when Asuna wakes up in the future and finds out she is all alone, not even Negi survived long enough to meet with her after everything she had to do to save Mars. It's very heartbreaking and all... then of course they immediately time travel her back to the past so the story can have a happy ending, as it should.

I guess the flashback where Nodoka's dad fights Jack Rakan was also enough for a chuckle. The rest is utterly forgettable, repetitive, and excessively eroge - come to think of it, it's exactly the same.problems Love Hina has.

Dunno if they're getting a bit scummy, or are trying to reinforce this being a sequel series to Trigger (much like how Dyna was set a few years after Tiga). The uniforms and guns might be new, but they're reusing the mecha and HQ set (which is inside of that giant battleship so I guess it can't be avoided), plus a new jet fighter that can combine with the old one as is Dyna tradition.
And there's gonna be Miclas (a "capsule monster" aka "Pokemon kaiju from the 60s")? I thought this was New Generation Dyna, not New Generation Ultraseven

(Could also get a bit confusing if Windom aka the other popular capsule monster shows up, since that bloke was a giant robot just two series prior.)

EDIT: The show's mascot is a bit... weird.
