There are just so many iterations of "monster of the week" you can do before it gets REALLY repetitive.

I remember a point in the manga where Takahashi got THREE Narakus going around (his human-youkai hybrid, the baby containing his true heart, and another kid containing another part of his) and the main cast was just bouncing around the three, while Sesshomaru was wandering around fighting increasingly contrived enemies that would only be defeat by his inherited sword Tenseiga (which he hated until this point because it could only damage the dead, zombie, or spirits).

The one good idea was rhythmic gymnastics martial arts. I'm shocked and amazed that no one has made an Ikki-Tousen-style waifu fight animu around this concept.

Isn't that the first manga the Ikkitousen dude did? That had 3-5 volumes and one of the cast members was a futa? Battle Club or something? It was pretty advertised when Tokyopop got its hands on Ikkitousen and then tried to branch out to more raunchy battle manga.
