I want an Azumanga Daioh sequel where Osaka actually did manage to become a teacher. It'd be the perfect spiritual successor to Great Teacher Onizuka.

Dragon Pilot is a fascinating watch. I have like no fucking idea who the target audience for this is.

Is it shoujoshit? There's too much fan service and casual sexism around for it to be the case.
Is it shounenshit? I've seen more badass dragons in fucking Pokemon, and so far there hasn't even been the hint of some kind of threat to fight (unless you count the vaguest allusions of some shintoshit, but the payoff will probably be a lot tamer than "Oh fuck, Orochi's back!").
Is this some kind of military propaganda? The casual sexism strikes again. The JSDF isn't painted in the best of light here.

Also I'm starting to get weirded about by everyone being Krillin. I know animu designs rarely focus much on noses, but the artstyle really wants you to know that there's nothing between eyes and mouth.

Well the pilots are certainly fucked-in-the-head since they're all in different corners of the spectrum.
And the animu, despite its shinto drappings, is ultimately very buddhist. The core message is that the main waifus need to forsake their earthly desires (for dick) so they can reach 100% synchronization when they get into their dragon's belly.
And all of this is for a fucking escort mission.
