It so far seems like the new female writers are diversity hires. Rickmancing the Stone and Pickle Rick were both written by some of the new female writers and both episodes were pretty meh. The relentless Pickle Rick shitposting on /tv/ was more amusing than the actual episode. Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender is probably going to be another letdown since it was also written by some of the new female writers but I have hope for The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy since it was written by Ryan Ridley.

I never found this show to be truly funny. The "comedy" is garbage. All the attempts at humor felt forced as fuck. None of it has been subtle or clever in any way at all as much as the autistic fans keep insisting it is. The show boils down to "LE GEEK CULTURE REFERENCES LOL", "IT'S FUNNY CUZ IT'S TELLING US TO LAUGH FOR THE SAKE OF LAUGHING LOL", "FORCED MEMES FOR THE SAKE OF FORCING MEMES LOL", "LE SCIENCE JOKES MAKE IT SMART FOR NERDS LOL", "ONLY NERDS WILL GET IT LOL". It's the "Big Bang Theory" of cartoons. The worst episodes were easily the "alternate universe commercials for teh lulz" which felt like rejected attempts at barely passable jokes because "IT'S WEIRD WHICH MAKES IT FUNNY LOL". Futurama (earlier seasons) completely destroys this show with better humor.

Doesn't surprise me that this shit is getting even shittier with feminist ideologues being thrown into the mix. It's been the most overpraised Adult Swim cartoon for the past 3 - 4 years, and it's had that same ugly CalArts bubbly art style that's been infecting nearly every Cartoon Network show since Adventure Time. A prompt cancellation would be a godsend.
