Young generations don't understand that things sometimes just STOP. You don't get a sequel. And so what? Enjoy what you got. If it's really good, you'll love it forever.

One of my favorite movies of all-time is "Night of the Comet" from 1984. It never got a sequel. I never cared. I never even thought about it. I flat-out DON'T WANT a sequel, especially today. Instead, I rewatch the movie every year or so and it's a blast.

Also, you are allowed to take in media anyway you want. You can say no anytime.

I love the classic Rolling Stones albums. I do not give a shit about their latest album. It doesn't spoil any of the old stuff. I have no idea why it would.

I'm the same way with Star Wars. It's stuck in the 1970s and 80s for me. Nothing else after that matters. If "The Acolyte" is peak Star Wars for somebody, they should embrace that and enjoy it. Five hours is a lot!

That's not a new problem. That mindset has been around forever and it always ends the same way. Shit will keep going on until it fucking sucks, some will cling on for a while, eventually shit's so bad it lessens the initial greatness.

When I was a kid in prequel times I saw a VHS stand at Cockbuster full of VHS for all those shitty 80's Star Wars cartoons like Droids. It had a "retro" aesthetic I recognized even at the time. That's when I realized Star Wars should have stayed gay shit from the 70's.
