Honestly the CG doesn’t hold up like at all - and any 2D fapping isn’t worth the nonsense plot and the character assassination they did to my boy, Cloud. Nomura clearly never played the OG game but his Cloud is just the character now, I guess.

Is this really because some of the producers said some retarded shit? How many producers haven’t been retards in the history of the medium? You’ve got Selznick and maybe a handful of others.

Back in 2003 this movie was considered gritty. It's amazing how times have changed. It's not as slick as the MCU but at least it feels like a movie and not just an episode of a shitty twenty-year-long tv show in theaters.

Cole Young was clearly a stand in for Takeda. Writers wanted that character, realized he was a descendent of an OG combatant, and made an OC with shitty Wonder Woman 84 armor as a super power. MK2021 was shit and did indeed feel like Netflixvania where the writers think that they’re better than the writers of the source material.

Tell me the whole thing didn’t look like reused assets from the DCEU and Legendary Godzilla films. Goro looked like a mega cheap Kong, Reptile looked like one of those things from the end of Shin Godzilla, and the film had that overly filtered dark Justice League look to it.

Ass-chin Ben Affleck has a strange fetish for picking roles for parts where he gets to wear costumes that only reveal his giant ass. I bet he applied also for the roles of Dredd and Robocop remake. It's a nice ass though, worthy of presenting.

I remember him being humiliated after Daredevil's critical drubbing and declaring he would never wear a mask again.

Honestly, with a few tweaks the movie could have been great. All the awful CG and wire-fu really dated it even in 2003. Garner was awful. Bullseye was treated like a joke. If the action had been more grounded and they went more with the worn down Daredevil they hinted at early on, it would probably have gotten a sequel or two. Not hiring a director known for rom-coms and cheesy family movies would have gone a long way to rectifying things, though I admire his passion in the making-of docs.
