At this point, you might as well make the entire movie in CG. You already own Pixar and voice actors are cheaper than overrated celebrities.

They have to make it live-action so it is more "legti", and being taken more serious as an "art form".
Those various live-action remakes of their old klessiks probably follow the same logic, which is why they are live-action instead of CGI.
