There will never be another good capeshit movie (inb4 imblying there was ever one) until the studios stop with the assembly line bullshit. The current system is very efficient at pumping out a lot of movies in a short amount of time, but none of them are worth a damn.

What I’ve noticed with the Mediocre Cinematic Universe trailers (and this isn’t necessarily universal - but a majority of the time) - is that when even the teaser trailers are hiding the villain, then that means said villain is probably dogshit - or at least, going to go over poorly with people.
Guardians of the Galaxy 1 did this - that was a movie people liked, but all of them cited the villain as the worst element.
They still can’t think for any characterization for Carol Danvers other than she’s pissy and snarky.

I don't recall the villain to that movie at all. But then, all I remember of the first Guardians movie are some shitty jokes, old songs recycled for meme value and copious body paint. 2/5 cast members are CGI abominations and 2/5 are people who can't act, but splashed with primary colors.

I'm mostly alone in thinking the first Guardians movie was just as big a pile of shit as every other Mahvul movie. Slightly above Avengers 1. So if I'd rank Avengers as a 2/10, then Guardians would be 3/10. Age of Ultron would be 1/10 or 0/10, whichever is the lowest possible score depending on your rating system. People think Guardians 1 was good but it really was not. Just because Thor 2 was worse doesn't mean it was a good movie.

That whole Guardians period was a real low point for capeshit. A low point which has continued to the Current Year.

Guardians 1 reminds me of Pacific Rimjob. Another interminably boring and shitty movie overly praised at the time because the (modern) competition was somehow even worse.

Age of Ultron gets worse the more it ages. Joss Whedon is one of the Four Horsemen of Blockbuster filmmaking - but there’s a reason you don’t remember the first Guardians villain. If Jizzney has confidence in a villain - they’re all over the fuckin trailer.
