I read a little of the arguments over the James Gunn thing on Twitter and I mostly came away thinking that I have NEVER felt these emotions that these outraged fans feel.

I'm a fan of lots of stuff, but it's fun. I never get angry or frustrated. If I don't like something, I get over it. That's life. There are other things to think about.

What's happened, I think, is there's a vocal breed of fan that takes anything they don't like as a personal insult. If something they like gets cancelled, it's because the people in control hate the fans and want to insult them. That's it. There's no more to the story than that. They don't consider for two seconds the cold business decisions that are the more likely reasons for why the DC movies needed a change.
