Well, yes, 300 and his terrible adaptation of Watchmen as well as Man of Steel gave strong indications that he was retarded. But what put it over for me was when he was doing press for Batman v Superman and claimed that Batman shooting the flamethrower guy's fuel tank or sticking a grenade up somebody's tail pipe wouldn't be murder, and then he went on to claim that in Dark Knight Returns, Batman just shoots a guy in the face. A) he doesn't and B) Batman mentions many times that he doesn't kill people. The whole point of his final confrontation with the Joker is that he geared up to kill him and then lost his nerve
