Women can kind of do physical comedy (see: weebshit) and that was traditionally their main niche. They can also do stuff in pairs where one of them has to be a dingbat.

Otherwise, they've spent centuries biologically melding themselves to be perfect at eliciting sympathy. What they've lost is that ability that also makes them funny. So they cant self-depricate, or get beat down on, because humans are trained to feel pity or righteous anger instead and get confused. Their lives arent nearly as interesting or risky (because they dont have to be), so you lose a lot if the absurd, unknown, or fatal that verbal storytelling comedy is based on.

Real talk, I've been to a couple comedy shows with female comedians. This one red head chick had some OK chuckles out of the crowd, but she had to fucking bend over backwards to deliver it in a way that made people interested. Women are just not funny when they are trying to be.
