Who watches (modern) tv shows anymore? I'm not saying the format is bad, but nothing good gets made. Even foreign tv shows are dogshit. Across the entire planet, there are no enjoyable television programs in the CURRENT YEAR. Oldshit doesn't count.
I tried to find some decent martial arts tv shows to watch recently and they were all trash. Looked at some animu, complete shit. Everything is cgi now, in both genres. Crime/detective shows? Last good one was the original law and order, maybe. Or perhaps the FIRST season of Hannibal. Along with the first season of Justified. But only if you limit yourself to those. What else. Mob shows? All shit. Sopranos sucked ass and everything after has been worse, somehow. Fantasy? Garbage ever since Gay of Thrones (and including it.) The last good fantasy tv show was probably some dumb '90s shlock like xena or highlander. Which isn't even good. Science fiction? You best be kidding. Hasn't been a good Trek since DS9. Hasn't been any other good science fiction tv show since Outer Limits redux (quality is all over the place, but at least it's interesting) and Babylon 5.
What other genres? I'm not counting reality tv, although kitchen nightmares uk was probably the last reality tv show worth wasting any time on. Westerns? Ayyy lmao.
