Nah. Your shame shall forever be recorded for future generations.

>guns are to blame
>i can't be arsed to check a gun so everyone else must use fake ones
>finally people realize that when shit goes wrong it goes terribly wrong
Yeah, that's what gun safety is for, faggot. Every gun enthusiast knows. You just didn't, because you're some Champaign liberal from Paedowood.

Thing is, Alec Baldwin has had a 40 year career in film and television, during which he's handled numerous firearms including single actions. There really is no excuse for him. Even if he is a rabidly anti-gun libshit, he's handled guns so many times on film sets that he should be well aware of the safety precautions.
In a just world there'd be no question about him being charged

Seriously. Everyone on this set are pieces of shit. They all are going I dindu nuffin. Now it's the assistant director's turn. Who has had the same problem on other sets with people warning Baldwin that he was going to get someone killed.

No it couldn't be the practices were fine but that you were all worthless assholes who couldn't bother doing the basic checks. In a statement Monday addressing the October 21 shooting, David Halls called Hutchins his 'friend' and asked the industry to 'reevaluate' its values.
'I'm shocked and saddened by her death,' Halls said. 'It's my hope that this tragedy prompts the industry to reevaluate its values and practices to ensure no one is harmed through the creative process again.'
'Halyna Hutchins was not just one of the most talented people I've worked with, but also a friend,' he added.
Despite breaking his silence, the assistant director failed to address reports that he was one of the three people to handle the loaded gun before the tragic accident that killed Hutchins, 42, and wounded director Joel Souza.
Even the director said you should have been checking.Souza told Santa Fe police that Halls was supposed to check that the gun was unloaded before handing it to Baldwin, but couldn't recall if he had done it.
'He advised he should have checked all of them, but didn't, and couldn't recall if she [Gutierrez-Reed] spun the drum,' court papers read.

I'm sure they'd all be blaming the dead woman if they could get away with it.

Re: Dead Celebrities aren't much fun
Okay, a little something about shooting competitions and the safety trainings.
First off, we aren't in a life or death situation. You don't need to toss your battle buddy a loaded rifle to survive. Same thing on a movie set. You have that time.
Secondly, live ammunition is around. That changes everything. Shouldn't be that way on or near a set but it was.
If you hand someone a loaded weapon, you're disqualified. Didn't check if it was? Disqualified. Every unchecked gun is presumed to be loaded.
If you accept a loaded weapon, also disqualified. You don't check it, you have however hands it to you show you that it isn't loaded first. If you don't, again, it's presumed loaded so you are disqualified.
Whenever you aren't shooting, it's to lay down on the stand, breech open, magazine extracted, unloaded and with the barrel pointing towards the range.
On green light, when people change targets and are allowed to remove hearing protection, guns are not handled.
Revolvers will have to have the drum open. Those tend to fall shut, which is why people put a flag or cable tie in them. If it falls shut, disqualification.
Flag someone with a barrel ever? Disqualified! Hold it at an angle that could produce dangerous riccochets? Disqualified.
That's just competition rules. Were not even talking about the likelihood of getting punched and/or banned from the range.
This shit is stressed very hard in the mandatory safety class you need to take here. First thing they will do is try and hand you a gun with a closed breech and an inserted magazine. If you take it, you are immediately failed.
Now, I don't care how you handle firearms with your buddies in the garden or whatever.
I do see value in the super strict basic rules, however. Even if you slack them a bit, they still guarantee that nothing bad could possibly happen. It's also a sign of respect. Of the firearm but also who you hand it to.
Personally, I am very strict about it. I even treat airshit like that.
Point is, all these fuckers are guilty of collaborative murder in my eyes. All of them!
Somebody loaded the gun, some bitch just took it, handed it to some idiot, idiot just took it, he handed it to Baldwin, he just took it, he drew it, cocked the hammer, pointed it at a person and pulled the trigger.
1. Loading a gun for no good reason.
2. Picking up but not checking a gun.
3. Handing it to someone without checking.
4. Accepting an unchecked gun.
5. Handing it to someone without checking.
6. Accepting an unchecked gun.
7. Drawing a gun when not wanting to shoot.
8. Cocking it as well.
9. Pointing it at a person.
10. Pulling the trigger without intending to fire the gun.
11. Firing a gun you haven't loaded yourself.
That's 11 mistakes in a row and I could easily add more if I wanted to get really pedantic. One is often enough for tragedy.
That is why gun safety is so fucking strict! Never assume, always check, always show that you have! One or two mistakes can easily cost a life and you're in a world of shit.

Witch Makes it all the more satisfying when reality comes crashing down down on these pricks!
For reasons Kugel stated people who own Guns and, actually knows how they function, tend to be Extremely Cautious when it comes to gun safety. I've Heard Stories o how "teh Ebil gun Nuts" would straight up punch brainless faggots for carelessly mishandling the gun putting every one around them in danger! Because those people would treat a gun the same why their 'favorite Hollywood Action Heroes' handle guns.
