Re: Books
Yeah, train's a-ok for me.
That's only because I consider light novels to belong in the weebshit thread.

Re: Books
Good. I hate Mass Market Paperbacks. They're so small I can't even hold them properly

Re: Books
Never had problems reading on a train. Bus depends, car is impossible. The up and downwards motion of a bumpy ride just make it impractical.
Ships are comfy, though. I like rocking boats and could easily live on a house boat. Second best sleeping atmosphere only coming after thunderstorms.

Re: Books
Train and bus reading is usually fine for me. I used to read those giant omnibus books on buses because I had to spend a fair amount of time riding around. I can't read in cars at all though.
Mass market paperbacks are much more readable when they've been reinforced. Go check out your local library to figure out how they do it if you don't know. Basic idea is tape around the spine and anywhere else that's weak. Once they're all taped up so the shitty things don't fall apart, I find them very comfortably-sized for reading. Hardbacks are definitely sturdier, but they're also a lot heavier and less portable (obviously.)
My big problem with mass market paperbacks is many of them were made so poorly they fall the fuck apart after even one reading.

Re: Books
I don't read paper books anymore. Kindle Oasis all the way. Light conditions don't matter, it's slim and light, it's comfortable one or two-handed and you can rest it on your leg just flipped open and it'll stay there. Plus you can get anything on it including e-pub and I've already got enough reading material for a year at least as is.
