Screw you Season 8 is one of my favorites! It had Grimes, Larry, the episode about the Homer being the Beer Baron, Poochie, Hank, the episode where Ned flips out, that well animated episode about the chili, the gay guy, Cecil, and a few others. I may have to rewatch some of the other seasons, but come on.

7 is where it starts to decline and by season 9 it's already mostly bad. Any season after 9 is so bad it's not worth watching at all.

It started declining after Phil Hartman died. There was one posthumous appearance of Troy McClure that wasn't very good and seemed like it was just cut footage from an earlier episode. There were some good episodes after this but the quality started declining gradually.

"Homer's Enemy" is solid and that was Season Eight.

So they made a Forensic Files reboot recently and I've never even realized that the show was cancelled in 2011. Plus because Peter Thomas died in 2016 they added a new narrator and a remix of the old theme and it is cursed.
