I’m so fucking sick of the right wing backpedaling about the war and torture stuff they rightfully supported. Like, what the fuck should he have done after 9/11? Send them flowers?

Attacking Afghanistan was the right thing to do. Attacking Iraq was not. We should have also attacked Pakistan (the guys who harbored Bin Laden and got away with it) and also Saudi Arabia, the masterminds of 9/11.

Iraq was literally only attacked to settle some dick-waving contest between Saddam and the Bushs, opening a new war front and eternal clusterfuck for shits and giggles.

Hardly crimes against humanity.
You might want to actually look up the definition of crimes against humanity. Everything perpetrated against the American people starting with the Bush administration fits the bill

Which are generally prosecuted at the ICC, btw.
They can be prosecuted anywhere. But good job trying to make a strawman against a point I never made

Not let it fucking happen in the first place, which is exactly what they did.
It's incredible that even twenty years later you can't see that you were fucking played.

Yeah, no. Rumsfeld was a big orchestrator of that and a big reason why we've got a never ending war there now

The 9/11 hijackers were known to authorities. The Intelligence Community had information for months that hijackers planned to hijack planes and fly them into to the Twin Towers, and they did nothing. Even The Lone Gunmen, a TV show spin-off of the X-Files, featured in its first episode members of the US Government planning to fly a plane into the World Trade Center as a false flag to create a pretext for another a foreign war. Now you might say 'Oh, that's just a silly TV show' but given the CIA influence and control over the media this is more than a little concerning

It's been this way with practically every act of Islamic terrorism committed on at least American soil if not Western soil in the last twenty years. Feds know about all these people and allow them to perpetrate acts of terrorism against the American people, sometimes even supplying them the weapons and equipment to do so. Why? Because when you've got a tragedy like 9/11 where tensions are so inflamed and people so incensed, the Government can easily manipulate them into giving them more and more power. People were so angry at 9/11 few people even questioned going to war with Afghanistan or Iraq.

They never stop doing it, either. We've seen that with coronavirus. World Governments and the media told people that coronavirus was an international emergency and it's super deadly and if we don't give up our rights and freedoms and allow them to test and trace us and force us to wear muzzles and stick needles in our arms and all sorts of other nonsense then we're all going to die. And what did people do? Not only did they gladly give up their hard fought rights and freedoms, some of them are so stupid they actually begged the government to take away even more of their rights and freedoms. The people are so stupid that they think the Government is just going to give up its power once all this is over, if they ever allow it to be over. Remember the PATRIOT Act wasn't supposed to be forever, either. Yet it's still with us.

If you allow Government to take power from tragedy they will invent tragedies.

Lying about WMDs is not a crime against humanity. Neither is denying the right to privacy. Reading your email is not a crime against humanity.

What strawman? You asked why I mentioned the ICC and I told you.

>going full 1984 over the civilian population is not a crime against humanity

It's ok if you read Orwell as a guide instead of a warning.

Yes it is you fucking retard. It's very much a crime against humanity to lie about WMDs as a pretext to start an illegal fucking war.

Stop simping for Bush and go join Rumsfeld in the fucking grave

Tons of people questioned going to war with Iraq, but they were all liberal homos who thought the Little Eichmanns in the WTC got what they deserved.

Those liberal homos were a minority. A vocal minority but a minority. The Deep State successfully manipulated people into accepting Iraq and Afghanistan based on their anger over 9/11

Nope. A war started on false pretences is not "illegal" nor is it a crime against humanity. It's certainly not right and it may be a crime, but it's not a crime against humanity.

Amusingly, you're actually arguing a strawman in your posts now. Argue what I'm saying, not what you wish I was saying.
