Yeah, that's basically the storyline they did in season 3 with Ash's newly introduced daughter(who ironically has way more chemistry with him than Kelly ever did).Rapeculture wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 12:16 pmI don't think any of that was the original showrunner's plan at all. He wanted Kelly to be Ash's daughter. How? Ash bangs Kelly's mom in 1982.Rushy wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 11:12 amTrue, but even then, the decision to ignore basic time travel logic in the s2 finale and kill off Lucy Lawless just to bring her back and revert her to a mwahaha evil character was dumb as shit.Rapeculture wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 10:59 am
Yeah, it probably didn't help that the showrunner packed his bags and left during the second season too. It was probably one of the final nails in the coffin for the show.![]()

One thing that I want to know is, if Bruce managed to act completely freaked out in both Evil Dead 1 and Evil Dead 2, how come he's utter shit at dramatic acting in Ash vs Evil Dead?

Just finished Ash vs Evil Dead. You know, as scrappy as the show might've been at times, that final episode just might be the greatest horror franchise finale ever.

Getting old does that to you. Not everyone can be like Sir Christopher Lee or Peter Cushing.
At least it ended on a high note though after the chainsaw got demolished and he didn't replace it with a newer model like he did in that PS2 game, I knew the end of the series was near. No way would he go without the trusty boomstick and his chainsaw.

They did the absolute best they could with what they had. It seems appropriate, if nothing else. If you factor in the alternate (intended)ending to Army of Darkness, every Evil Dead movie ended on a sort of cliffhanger. What's going to happen to Ash next? We got the same type of thing with AvED's ending. We should always leave Ash looking forward to his next great adventure. I'm just sorry we won't get to see Ash fighting cyborg Deadites, that would've been sweet as hell.

That kikepedia article about All in the Family is all over the place. It states that Ein Herz und eine Seele was inspired by it, which struck me as odd. Sure enough, in the page for it it states Till Death us do Part instead as inspiration.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 1:27 amIt looks like All in the Family and The Jeffersons did air in Germany.
Great show, by the way. The episode Sylvesterpunsch is basically required viewing on Sylvester.
That's not canned laughter by the way. It has always been recorded live like a play. That was very common back then.
Looking at it now, the format is actually very similar to Seinfeld in the whole "a show about nothing" kinda way.

My first exposure to Evil Dead was one of those PS2 games. My cousin had it.

Yeah, I feel the same. But I also can see what can happen if a franchise sticks around way too long. I'd rather it ends this way than the way Rian Johnson did to Star Wars.Rapeculture wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 11:43 pmThey did the absolute best they could with what they had. And the "genderizing" part... does YouTube really allow this?
Calling electro-music garbage. Nice.
Edit: Why is this allowed in YouTube? The two first things I mentioned should have gotten the series banned.
