"Wicked" actress throws a fit online over a FAN EDIT of the movie poster that covers her eyes in homage to the original live musical poster. People who have nothing better to do are fighting.

I can believe, and even understand, that she doesn't LIKE the photoshopped poster. When the studio was coming up with poster designs for the movie, I bet that they even made something a lot like the fan edit in order to mirror the iconic original, but her representation said "No, we need to see this bitch's eyes. She's a star!"

So they went with a poster that showed her face, only for some anonymous person on social media to spend thirty seconds changing it. And it got shared. And the Strong Black Woman felt threatened.

I followed the arguments for a little while yesterday and it was interesting. It wasn't about Woke vs. Anti-woke.

It was normal people who understood "Yeah, this is what we do on the internet; we fuck around with anything put in front of us just for fun and not even out of hostility sometimes" vs. uber-Woke "When a Strong Black Woman speaks we should always listen and learn!"

Anyway, in my defense, I did listen and I did learn. I got reminded to not go nuclear about offenses on the internet because it's gonna blow up in your face. Take it in stride and do your work.
