My favorite action movie in the past five years is RRR - from Bollywood - and is kind of a kill whitey movie, but the set pieces are so wild and creative - I have a hard time not being entertained.

It's a "kill Brits" movie. Major difference. Everyone schould aspire to this, regardless of skin color.

Loved Nic Cage - he’s over the top in way you’d want Nic Cage playing a Satan worshipping serial killer to be. Out of context he’s memey - in context it plays. He does a Looney Toons “that’s all, folks!” At the end.

It's impossible not to love Nic Cage, because this is what he always delivers.
I'm going to watch the movie just because he's in there.
Have you seen Renfield? I don't know anything about Awkafina or whatever her name is, but she's tolerable in it.

Is Axel F good?
Will Jordan says it is, which doesn't mean anything, especially when it's a Nigflix production.
He also claims there's an anti-woke jab in the beginning, but i bet it's just Eddie Murphy repeating the bit of the first movie in which he pretends to be outraged at perceived racism.

I started watching those Fast and the Furious movies.

Thought 1 was ok, brainless fun. 2 was a bit better, more engaging. 3 was solid. 4 I didn't much care for aside from having Vin Diesel and Paul Walker back.

Can't wait for them to go to space. I hope Diesel sees Corona bubbles floating past him or something.

You have to go back in time if you really want good car movies. Classic Bonds are alright. Mad Max (particularly 1) was good. Death Race, Death Proof, Ronin, Vanishing Point. If you like animu, Redline is cool. Hell, Drive isn't the worst.

The Fast and Furious franchise does nothing for me. When I watch car shit, I want to see either classic American muscle cars blasting across the country, or some riced-up animu tofu box gaining speed on a drift like it's entering hyperspace. Live action car movie? Needs to be 100% practical effects.

The first Fast was spot on for the Zeitgeist of the era. Watching it today feels anachronistic. Tokyo Drift was the last one I've seen and that was peak meme shit.
