People are saying Rian's trilogy is cancelled and it's just those GOT guys working on the movies, but there's no reason Disney can't add any more movies to their schedule. That Avatar shit is ridiculous, though. Is Fox paying for that bullshit or are they just distributing them for Cameron ala the Star Wars movies? I can't believe any studio on the planet would bankroll such faggotry.

Disney at one point had a bunch of Tron movies planned, but that changed after Tron Legacy came out. I suspect something similar will happen after the first Avatar sequel is released and James Cameron and the studio execs realize what everyone else on Earth has been saying about a lack of interest in the Avatar franchise.

The third movie would have been early enough to slip past the woke era at least. They blamed Tomorrowland's epic failure for no more Tron, but we all know it was getting Lucasfilm. Tron was going to be Disney's version of Star Wars until they actually got Star Wars.

I wouldn't actually be surprised, given that Bruce Boxleitner gave Disney the middle finger after Tron 3 was cancelled and he never got to make a proper comeback in the role. So Tron ain't coming back in Tron, and every version of Jeff Bridges is dead.

An Olivia Wilde Tron 3 with her going up against the right-wing media represented by Cillian Murphy and old David Warner voicing the MCP 2.0 would be the most likely outcome.
