I don't get that mindset. The sunken cost fallacy doesn't actually apply to something so benign as watching some show where you get absolutely nothing out of it in the first place if it's a chore to sit through.
Only time I ever slugged through a show was TNG because I already knew the should would get better after the first two seasons.

I forced myself through three seasons just because I kept it hearing it was the greatest show ever made, golden age of television, etc. and it really was a slog. The show was never good and Jean Grey never got her tits out.
