You've already seen basically all there is to see in terms of Shatner hamming it up. He's not generally an overactor - 99% of this is just Kirk being possessed by aliens. Three seasons in, I could count the scenes of the actual Captain Kirk "Shatnering" on one hand.

That Shatner is a bad actor, especially for 70s TV, is a very stale take.
