In real news today the long awaited fourth album by Teitanblood was released. I've spun it once so far and it doesn't disappoint!



Total fucking whimp and poser annihilation! Black Magic Death Metal is back on the menu and this may be their best album yet!
This time around they go more into the direction of Triumvir Foul, which is a fantastic direction to go into.

Perhaps their most "easy listening" album so far so maybe someone reading this might just get into the absolute masters of this chaotic style.

Note that I'm speaking in relative terms. This won't convert anyone that isn't into at least some form of extreme Metal. It's not "accessible" by any means!

The production is absolutely perfect! Musically, it's closer to Seven Chalices or Triumvir Foul's Spiritual Bloodshed than The Baneful Choir or Death.

I can't even describe why I like this. It just hits that spot where noise, chaos, and aggression meet perfectly with riffs, rhythm and melody.
It's blunt enough to be oppressing and abrasive but clever enough to not just be a wall of sound that becomes white noise.
Like the difference between positively ridiculous and silly.

10/10, album of the year so far and it'll be difficult to top on the extreme end of Metal!

That's how they do. Teitanblood call their stuff Black Magic Death Metal and where I'd usually roll my eyes at that and just call it War Metal, Teitanblood are pretty unique.

Their previous album was mentioned by me in the music thread before. The Baneful Choir has more ambience interludes and the entire album sounds like the soundtrack to Hell.

This is some true underground shit and they've got a pegedree as well with that connection to Ploclamation, primo War Metal elite and legend.
I like Teitanblood better though. It's like they outgrew War Metal and are the sole proprietor of their own niche now.
