Due to the strike, I guess - streaming numbers are actually starting to come out. Nigflix is the first to bite.

One note is that this is January to June, so live action Wan Piss isn’t on here.

With a few notable exceptions (Wednesday scores pretty high) - there’s still a strong focus on trading around IP from old cable shows (Big Bang Theory, Friends, The Office - which burgerland Nigflix doesn’t even have anymore, Breaking Bad and BCS by extension).

It becomes clear and unambiguous reading this, that these services are spending too much money on original shit - when existing IPs still account for most of the income. Focus on that - and only drop an original thing every once in a while.

Of course most people are gonna watch shit they already know about.

And it's not even like these original shows are any "safer" in that the streaming service will never remove them - 'cause they've done that shit in the past (the most recent big example being Disney+ erasing that Willow sequel series from existence).

Success on Netflix comes in all shapes and sizes, and is not determined by hours viewed alone. We have enormously successful movies and TV shows with both lower and higher hours viewed. It’s all about whether a movie or TV show thrilled its audience — and the size of that audience relative to the economics of the title

LOST is coming back to Netflix. Hopefully that will give the younger generation some appreciation for quality TV, and put an end to those attention span-challenged idiots who still talk about everyone having been "dead all along"
